Comedian and actor Pat Finn, who portrayed memorable characters on such shows as \u201cSeinfeld\u201d, \u201cFriends\u201d, and \u201cThe Middle\u201d, has died of cancer at the age of 60, family members and friends have confirmed.<\/p>\n

Family sources told TMZ<\/a> he died at his home in Los Angeles with family by his side on Monday evening.<\/p>\n

Finn was mourned by fellow comedians Brian Stack and Jeff Dye, both of whom said they considered Finn a close friend.<\/p>\n

\u201cHeartbroken that our dear friend, Pat Finn, passed away,\u201d Stack, a writer for \u201cThe Colbert Show\u201d, wrote on X.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs kind as he was brilliantly hilarious,\u201d Stack added, sharing a video of Finn playing with his daughter in Stack\u2019s former Chicago apartment.<\/p>\n

A representative for Finn, in a statement obtained by The New York Post, said the actor died Monday night after a battle with bladder cancer.<\/p>\n

Finn, originally from Evanston, Illinois, was a member of the Second City Theatre in Chicago before landing his first regular supporting TV role on \u201cThe George Wendt Show\u201d in 1995, according to a biography from the People Talent Agency.<\/p>\n

He later appeared on such shows as \u201cMurphy Brown\u201d, \u201cThat \u201870s Show\u201d, \u201cThe King of Queens\u201d, \u201cAccording to Jim\u201d, \u201cCurb Your Enthusiasm\u201d, and \u201c2 Broke Girls,\u201d among dozens of others.<\/p>\n

Finn might be most familiar to fans of \u201cFriends\u201d as Dr. Roger (Monica\u2019s boyfriend in an alternate reality) and to viewers of \u201cSeinfeld\u201d as party-micromanager Joe Mayo.<\/p>\n

The prolific actor also had a regular role on \u201cThe Middle\u201d as neighbour and family friend Bill Norwood.<\/p>\n

Finn is survived by his wife and three children, according to a statement issued by Marquette University, where he returned over the years to host \u201cseveral\u201d courses on improvisational acting.<\/p>\n
