{"id":370386,"date":"2025-12-25T06:05:15","date_gmt":"2025-12-25T06:05:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/370386\/"},"modified":"2025-12-25T06:05:15","modified_gmt":"2025-12-25T06:05:15","slug":"charles-leclerc-reveals-lando-norris-wish-for-2026-f1-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/370386\/","title":{"rendered":"Charles Leclerc reveals Lando Norris wish for 2026 F1 season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/tag\/leclerc\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Charles Leclerc<\/a> has expressed that he hopes to give Lando Norris a greater challenge in 2026 after the McLaren driver\u2019s maiden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/series\/single-seater\/formula-1\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Formula 1<\/a> title.<\/p>\n<p>Norris appeared to be second-best for most of the season, before a strong surge of form saw him regularly outperform team-mate Oscar Piastri.<\/p>\n<p>A resurgent Red Bull with Max Verstappen threatened to deny him in the closing races, but Norris managed to pip him to the crown by two points.<\/p>\n<p>Much like Norris sustained his ups and downs before landing his first championship, Leclerc is yet to have a car that can take him the whole way.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps this is why Norris\u2019 victory resonates so strongly, as Leclerc recognised the \u201cultimate dream\u201d for every driver is to be in the Briton\u2019s shoes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s why I love our sport so much, it\u2019s the emotions,\u201d he told media including Motorsport Week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo matter how much you want to beat your opponents, to see someone\u2019s face as happy as Lando\u2019s is something that is beautiful to see.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the ultimate dream for every one of us on this grid. He\u2019s been fulfilling it this year and I\u2019m very happy for him.
