Patients in the United States previously paid nearly three times the average than other developed countries for their medication. The \u201cMost Favored Nation\u201d agreement will significantly reduce prices for drugs that treat several diseases, such as type two diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, hepatitis B and C, HIV, certain cancers, and more. Every state Medicaid program will have access to the reduced pricing.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs of today, 14 out of the 17 largest pharmaceutical companies \u2026 have now agreed to drastically lower drug prices for\u2026 the American people and the American patients,\u201d President Trump said. \u201cThis represents the greatest victory for patient affordability in the history of American healthcare, by far, and every single American will benefit.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>The manufacturers who agreed to the deal will not have tariffs placed on their products for a three-year grace period.
