\n\tDemi Lovato<\/a> back, and ready for life in the fast lane.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Child Star director<\/a> dropped her latest single \u201cFast\u201d on Thursday night, the first from her upcoming ninth studio album.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tLovato teased the track on social media earlier this month before officially announcing its arrival. In one mid-July Instagram video, the singer-actress lip-synced to the lyrics of the track, singing, \u201c\u2018Cause baby honestly \/ I just wanna feel your hands all over me \/ Over and over \/ Right where they wanna be \/ Even if it\u2019s only for tonight.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tLovato released an accompanying music<\/a> video with the track, where she could be seen strutting amongst a slate of burning cars while signing the chorus: \u201cI wanna go fast \/ I wanna go hard \/ I wanna go anywhere, anywhere you are.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tEntitled \u201cFast,\u201d the single marks Lovato\u2019s return to the pop music genre after she\u2019d previously tapped into rock in her previous record Holy Fvck. Her ninth album will be executive produced by music producer Zhone, who has notably collaborated with Kesha, Troye Sivan and Charli xcx.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s been so inspiring working with Demi and experiencing her journey of continued leveling up,\u201d Zhone told Rolling Stone<\/a>. \u201cShe is such a master in the studio. This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music! It really comes across throughout.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Camp Rock star\u2019s most recent release was Revamped, which literally revamped and remixed tracks from her sprawling discography.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFast\u2019s\u201d arrival comes almost a year after Lovato made her directorial debut with her documentary Child Star<\/a>, which shed light on \u201cthe highs and lows of growing up in the spotlight through the lens of some of the world\u2019s most well-known former child stars.\u201d The doc featured interview with Drew Barrymore, JoJo Siwa, Christina Ricci, Kenan Thompson, Raven-Symon\u00e9 and Alyson Stoner, among others.\u00a0<\/p>\n
