In a cheeky Instagram Reel posted on Thursday,<\/a> the Oscar winner played up the unsettling vibe of the line\u2019s latest offering, a $48 designer chinstrap called the Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap, with an homage to one of his most iconic characters.<\/p>\n

Drawing on the product\u2019s comparisons to the fiendish mask Hopkins wore as serial killer Hannibal Lecter in 1991\u2019s \u201cSilence of the Lambs,\u201d the actor put on the face wrap, stared into the camera and purred, \u201cHello Kim, I\u2019m already feeling 10 years younger.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then slipped in the character\u2019s signature hiss \u2015 a nod to the infamous line, \u201cI ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti\u201d \u2015 before ending the bit with a menacing, \u201cGoodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you, Kim,\u201d Hopkins wrote in his caption. \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid to come over for dinner.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though the film veteran appeared thoroughly amused by the face-sculpting contraption, Skims\u2019 latest offering has sparked mixed reactions<\/a> online since its launch on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

One internet user likened the face wrap to a \u201cmedieval torture device for your face\u201d while another called it an \u201cembarrassing\u201d cash grab.<\/p>\n
