Veteran forward LeBron James<\/a> stormed off the court<\/a> after his Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> suffered an embarrassing Christmas Day loss to the Houston Rockets<\/a>. His body language wasn\u2019t the greatest during the game either, as noted by his former Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a> teammate, Kendrick Perkins<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWatching that game last night \u2014 and I was a teammate of LeBron James and grew up playing with him in AAU \u2014 I know this man,\u201d Perkins began on \u201cFirst Take\u201d<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen he\u2019s not engaged, or if he feels some type of way, it speaks in his body language,\u201d Pekins said of James. \u201cAnd last night, his body language was awful.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was not engaged. He was pouting, moping and walking up and down the damn floor, and he was complaining.\u201d<\/p>\n Lakers Internal Issues?<\/p>\n Perkins added that the relationship between the Lakers and James \u201chas run its course,\u201d and the two sides need to come together to \u201cfigure out a solution,\u201d which could lead to the 23-year veteran waiving his no-trade clause.<\/p>\n \u201cLeBron has been to 10-15 NBA<\/a> Finals. He knows when a roster is not good enough. Rich Paul, his agent, just said the Lakers are not title contenders<\/a>. If Rich Paul is saying it, they both feel that way,\u201d said Perkins, hinting at James\u2019 unhappiness in L.A.<\/p>\n The 2008 NBA Champion also insinuated a possible disagreement between LeBron James and JJ Redick<\/a> by highlighting how the Lakers coach wasn\u2019t this vocal about calling out the team<\/a> before James returned from his sciatica.<\/p>\n \u201cHe wasn\u2019t having these conversations earlier in the season when LeBron James was out,\u201d Perkins said of Redick.<\/p>\n Redick Calls \u2018Uncomfortable Meeting\u2019<\/p>\n As noted by Perkins, Redick ripped his teammates after Thursday\u2019s loss and warned them of \u201can uncomfortable\u201d\u00a0 meeting on Saturday, where he plans to bluntly address their defensive issues.<\/p>\n \u201cSaturday\u2019s practice \u2014 I told the guys \u2014 it\u2019s going to be uncomfortable,\u201d Redick said. \u201cThe meeting is going to be uncomfortable. I\u2019m not doing another 53 games like this.\u201d<\/p>\n Interestingly, Redick said the targeted players know who they are.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a matter of making the choice, and too often we have guys won don\u2019t wanna make that choice,\u201d Redick said of his team\u2019s defensive issues.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd it\u2019s pretty consistent who those guys are.\u201d<\/p>\n One wonders if Redick was referring to LeBron James, who was lambasted for his horrific defensive performance<\/a> on Thursday, a persistent trend in his 23rd season.<\/p>\n The Lakers (19-10) are on a three-game losing streak for the first time this year, and have lost six of their last ten games after starting the season with a 15-4 record.\u00a0During this 10-game stretch<\/a>, they\u2019ve been outscored by 9.6 points, while allowing opponents to average 117.4 points on 49% shooting.
