Alia chose to watch it in theatre<\/p>\n

In a chat with NDTV, Mohit Suri revealed that Alia Bhatt didn\u2019t attend the film\u2019s trial screening, but insisted on watching \u2018Saiyaara\u2019 in a cinema instead. \u201cYes, she went to watch it in the theatre. I was inviting her to a trial screening, but she said no, she would watch it in the theatre. After watching it in the theatre, she praised it a lot. She took the numbers of both actors and spoke to them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Alia was clearly touched by the film\u2019s emotional tone. Suri added, \u201cShe also showed the film to Ranbir. Alia has been supporting this film from the beginning because she felt it carries the same emotional depth that I often infuse in my own films. She has been very supportive throughout my career, actually.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ranbir Kapoor called Suri with praise<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t just Alia who was moved by \u2018Saiyaara\u2019. Her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, also watched the film and quickly picked up the phone to call Mohit Suri. \u201cRanbir called me up and praised the film a lot. Unhone kaha ki abhi tujhe bahut filmein banani hai. Abhi thoda araam se kaam kar. Enjoy kar,\u201d said Suri.<\/p>\n

Alia didn\u2019t stop at just calling the actors. She had also shared a heartfelt Instagram post, praising Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda for their work in \u2018Saiyaara\u2019.
