The former co-stars, who dated both on and off-screen, shared the happy news on Sunday in separate Instagram posts.<\/p>\n

Dillman, who played Ziggy Astoni on the hit Australian drama, posted a series of photos from the proposal, which took place on a Sydney beach with the city skyline as a backdrop.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Connor, who portrayed Dean Thompson on the show, shared behind-the-scenes images of the moment he got down on one knee, along with a close-up shot of the stunning ring by Sydney atelier Mendel Rose.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot all treasure is silver and gold mate,\u201d O\u2019Connor wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cSoph I love you in this life, the next and forever xx.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dillman and O\u2019Connor originally met at acting school, with their romance later developing once they both secured roles on Home and Away.<\/p>\n

Their characters were romantically involved on screen, with the actors becoming a real-life couple in 2019.<\/p>\n

The couple left the show together in 2023 before moving to the UK to work and travel.<\/p>\n

Former castmates were quick to celebrate the engagement, flooding the comments section with messages of love and congratulations.<\/p>\n

In March 2025, Dillman and O\u2019Connor briefly returned to Home and Away<\/a>, delighting fans of the long-running series.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels so good to be home!\u201d Dillman said at the time.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Connor added: \u201cI can\u2019t wait for the action, and for fans to see this storyline play out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dillman\u2019s character Ziggy first arrived in Summer Bay in 2017, while O\u2019Connor\u2019s character Dean was introduced the following year, in 2018.<\/p>\n

Ziggy and Dean were long-standing residents of Summer Bay, whose on-again-off-again romance took Home and Away fans by storm.<\/p>\n

After a turbulent pregnancy in 2023, Ziggy and Dean welcomed baby girl Izzy into the world.<\/p>\n

The trio left in March 2023, when they made the difficult decision to say goodbye to the Bay and head north to Queensland so Dean could be closer to his son, Jai.<\/p>\n
