Hobart Hurricanes<\/a> star Nikhil Chaudhary caused a stoppage to his side’s BBL<\/a> clash with the Melbourne Renegades<\/a> after going down injured following a dropped catch.<\/p>\n

The Renegades were 3-80 when Ollie Peake hit Rishad Hossain to the mid-wicket boundary with Chaudhary running back to try and dismiss him.<\/p>\n

Chaudhary couldn’t take the ball cleanly as it went for six before he landed heavily on his shoulder.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old stayed down clutching at his shoulder in the aftermath before laying flat on the grass.<\/p>\n

“That doesn’t look good,” Isa Guha said on Fox Cricket.<\/p>\n

A long stoppage followed as medical staff attended to Chaudhary. He was then assisted from the field, still holding his right shoulder.<\/p>\n

Peake went on to score 29 with the Renegades finishing 9-162.<\/p>\n

Chaudhary was scheduled to bat at No.5 and surprisingly came out at 3-59.<\/p>\n

“That’s a comeback and a half, that’s amazing,” Adam Gilchrist said. <\/p>\n

Mike Hussey added: “He’s got a wry smile out there, I think a few Renegades players have said, ‘Mate, where have you come from? You got shot earlier on’.”<\/p>\n

With his sixth delivery, Chaudhary showed no signs of pain when he smashed AJ Tye for a 98-metre six.<\/p>\n

His innings came to an end on 19 when he was given out lbw off Adam Zampa’s bowling.<\/p>\n

Any concern for the Hurricanes disappeared with Matthew Wade at the crease who led his side to a four-wicket victory with his 43 not out.
