Queensland Cricket is proud to announce its squads for the 2026 National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC), set to take place in Perth from January 11\u201317. Four divisions will represent Queensland: Mixed Intellectual Disability (ID), Mixed Blind\/Low Vision (BLV), Men\u2019s Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH), and Women\u2019s DHH.<\/p>\n

BLV Squad Shows Strong Form in Victoria Practice Series<\/p>\n
As part of their NCIC preparations, Queensland\u2019s Blind and Low Vision team faced Victoria in a competitive weekend of cricket on December 6\u20137, delivering strong performances and building confidence ahead of Perth.<\/p>\n

Game 1 (T20): Victoria posted 263, led by Steve Obeid\u2019s 84 (retired). Queensland replied with 234, thanks to Chris Gould (66) and Sean Kendrick (70). Bowling highlights: Matt McCarthy (3-33) and Kendrick (2-57).
\nGame 2 (T12): Queensland scored 123, with Kendrick unbeaten on 42, before restricting Victoria to 96\u2014a great result for the home side.
\nGame 3 (T20): Victoria made 216, but Queensland\u2019s sharp fielding created three run-outs. Matt McCarthy stole the show with an unbeaten 97, sealing victory.<\/p>\n
Both teams played with great sportsmanship, and while rivals on the field, the friendships between players were evident\u2014a hallmark of inclusive cricket. The best outcome? Every player gained valuable game time and contributed to the success of the weekend.<\/p>\n

Queensland squads will regroup for a final training session in early January before traveling to Perth for the NCIC.
