{"id":379672,"date":"2025-12-30T04:44:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T04:44:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/379672\/"},"modified":"2025-12-30T04:44:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T04:44:07","slug":"nuggets-star-nikola-jokic-knee-questionable-to-return-vs-heat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/379672\/","title":{"rendered":"Nuggets star Nikola Jokic (knee) questionable to return vs. Heat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>December 30 &#8211; Three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic limped off the court in discomfort after injuring his left knee in the closing seconds of the first half of the Denver Nuggets&#8217; clash with the host Miami Heat on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The Nuggets announced at the start of the half that Jokic was questionable to return.<\/p>\n<p>Teammate Spencer Jones accidentally stepped on Jokic&#8217;s left foot while being forced backwards by Miami&#8217;s Jaime Jaquez Jr. under the Heat&#8217;s basket.<\/p>\n<p>The contact caused Jokic&#8217;s left leg to hyperextend and Denver&#8217;s superstar had to hobble slowly to the locker room with the score tied at 63 at the half.<\/p>\n<p>Jokic &#8212; who leads the league in rebounds and assists &#8212; had 21 points, five boards and eight assists in 19 minutes to lead the Nuggets&#8217; rally from a 52-37 deficit.
