This includes a two-way contract, which Flowers has signed. Nnaji was drafted with the No. 31 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, but never signed an NBA contract, nor appeared in an NBA\/G-League game.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/nil\/newsletter\/signup\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">SUBSCRIBE to the On3 NIL and Sports Business Newsletter<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe NCAA has not and will not grant eligibility to any prospective or returning student-athletes who have signed an NBA contract (including a two-way contract),\u201d Baker wrote in the statement. \u201cAs schools are increasingly recruiting individuals with international league experience, the NCAA is exercising discretion in applying the actual and necessary expenses bylaw to ensure that prospective student-athletes with experience in American basketball leagues are not at a disadvantage compared to their international counterparts.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NCAA?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">@NCAA<\/a> has not and will not grant eligibility to any prospective or returning student-athletes who have signed an <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NBA?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">@NBA<\/a> contract (including a two-way contract). While the NCAA has prevailed on the vast majority of eligibility-related lawsuits, recent outlier decisions enjoining the NCAA on a nationwide basis from enforcing rules that have been on the books for decades \u2014 without even having a trial \u2014 are wildly destabilizing. I will be working with DI leaders in the weeks ahead to protect college basketball from these misguided attempts to destroy this American institution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arkansas HC John Calipari ranted about situation Monday night<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/sites\/hawg-beat\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arkansas<\/a> head coach <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/coach\/john-calipari-131119\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">John Calipari<\/a> went on an epic rant following the Razorbacks\u2019 victory over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/college\/james-madison-dukes\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">James Madison<\/a> Monday night regarding the situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, look, I don\u2019t blame coaches because I\u2019ve got friends who are playing with 27 year olds and they feel bad,\u201d Calipari\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/MbGtwLbVyDo?si=lNvtGpLXClXkxrI4\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a>. \u201cDon\u2019t feel bad. We don\u2019t have any rules. Why should you feel bad? But, let me give you this. Real simple. The rules be the rules. If you put your name in the (NBA) Draft, I don\u2019t care if you\u2019re from Russia. If you stay in the Draft, you can\u2019t play college basketball. \u2018Well that\u2019s only for American kids\u2019. What? If your name is in that Draft and you got drafted, you can\u2019t play college basketball.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nnaji had been playing professional basketball with\u00a0Merkezefendi Belediyesi Denizli Basket\u00a0in Turkey before getting the call to join the\u00a0Baylor\u00a0basketball program.
