Joshua suffered minor injuries<\/a> when the Lexus SUV he was a passenger in collided with a stationary truck on a major expressway on Monday, local time.<\/p>\n His team members, Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele, were killed.<\/p>\n Ghami, a sport and exercise rehabilitation coach, had worked with Joshua for more than a decade.<\/p>\n Anthony Joshua was taken to hospital in a stable condition. (Supplied: BBC)<\/p>\n After leaving hospital on Wednesday, Joshua and his mother visited the funeral home where his friends’ bodies were being held ahead of repatriation, the statement said.<\/p>\n Nigeria’s Federal Road Safety Corps said preliminary findings suggested<\/a> the Lexus was travelling over the speed limit when the driver lost control during a “wrongful overtaking” manoeuvre.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency in Ogun told Agence France-Presse the front tyre on the car’s passenger side burst while overtaking.<\/p>\n “That led to loss of control before the vehicle \u2026 swerved and rammed into the stationary truck that was parked,” he said.<\/p>\n Authorities said the driver lost control when one of the car’s front tyres burst.
