Amblin Entertainment and Paramount Television were set to produce.<\/p>\n<p>Now, speaking with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbr.com\/stranger-things-creators-stephen-king-talisman-adaptation-dead-netflix\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CBR<\/a> this week, the Duffers revealed that plans for the screen adaptation of \u201cThe Talisman\u201d are dead at Netflix and they are no longer involved with the project:<\/p>\n<p>Ross Duffer: \u201cSadly, \u2018Talisman\u2019 is no longer at Netflix, so we\u2019re not involved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matt Duffer: \u201cI remember I was, I think it was probably naive of us to think we could break \u2018The Talisman.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ross Duffer: \u201cWhen I interned, when I was really, you know, back in college at Kennedy Marshall, I remember reading, I think it was a movie script for Talisman. So it\u2019s been in development forever, so I\u2019m sorry that we were not the ones to break the curse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Attempts have been made to adapt the book for the screen essentially ever since it came out, to no avail.
