A WAVE of brand-new Gen3 Supercar chassis are due to hit the grid next month.<\/p>\n

V8 Sleuth estimates nine cars will be debuted at the Sydney 500 in a major injection of fresh metal.<\/p>\n

Triple Eight (three) and Walkinshaw TWG Racing (two) are fielding completely new fleets of cars for their respective moves to Ford and Toyota.<\/p>\n

Brad Jones Racing has also started from scratch for two of its three Supras, with the third to be converted from the Camaro which Andr\u00e9 Heimgartner<\/a> raced in 2025.<\/p>\n

Tickford Racing has committed to building at least one new chassis, given that the Monster Mustang campaigned by Cam Waters<\/a> last year was due to be handed over to buyer Scott Taylor.<\/p>\n

Likewise, Grove Racing was planning to build at least one new car following the decision to retire its Bathurst winner.<\/p>\n

So, that makes nine, and there\u2019s still scope for more beyond that \u2013 including if Tickford and\/or Grove build a second new car, and when Triple Eight and Walkinshaw inevitably assemble spares for themselves.<\/p>\n

Erebus Motorsport is also chipping away on at least one new chassis to be deployed mid-season, though it is expected to start the year with two existing machines.<\/p>\n
