Red Bull has removed two of its junior drivers from its development programme ahead of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
The famous junior programme has backed many drivers throughout its existence, granting paths to F1 for drivers such as Max Verstappen, Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo and Carlos Sainz.<\/p>\n
It has continued to provide opportunities to young drivers in recent years and has a comfortable spread across the feeder series categories.<\/p>\n
In 2026, however, Oliver Goethe and Tim Tramnitz will no longer be part of the programme.<\/p>\n
Goethe drove a full season in Formula 2 in 2025 with former Red Bull junior Richard Verschoor as his team-mate at MP Motorsport. However, he could only reach 15th in the final standings.<\/p>\n
Despite his loss of Red Bull backing, he will remain active in F2 this year with MP Motorsport.<\/p>\n
Tramnitz has spent the last two seasons in Formula 3, ending last year’s standings in fourth place.<\/p>\n
However, he failed to secure a competitive seat for 2026, which, according to multiple reports, was a condition for Red Bull to continue with the German.<\/p>\n
In the lower categories, Red Bull has also said goodbye to Jules Cantara and Christopher Feghali.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Earlier in 2025, it also became clear that Pepe Marti and Red Bull would part ways.
