The Bay Oval international cricket ground hosted its first-ever Super Rugby game in April last year and will become a major music venue for Australian DJ Fisher later this month. <\/p>\n
In 2023, it was transformed into a Fifa Women\u2019s World Cup training ground for the Netherlands football team. <\/p>\n
Bay Oval general manager Kelvin Jones said the cricket ground was a multi-use community asset.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are a cricket ground first and foremost, but we\u2019re always looking to find new experiences for people to enjoy especially around the holidays,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
\u201cWhether you\u2019re here to watch a cricket game, enjoy a concert or hit some golf balls, the Bay Oval can be enjoyed by everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jones said he was excited to be hosting the inaugural Pins & Pours golf event.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will not only help to promote the venue, but it will be a lot of fun too.\u201d<\/p>\n
