Cold Arctic air remains
\nacross all parts of the UK today. <\/p>\n

Further snow showers are
\nexpected for areas exposed to the northerly winds, especially northern
\nScotland, Northern Ireland, west Wales, south-west England and parts of eastern
\nEngland. <\/p>\n

The Met Office has issued various yellow warnings for snow and ice warnings
\nin these regions.<\/p>\n

While many places will
\nstay dry with wintry sunshine, it will feel cold with icy stretches for all.
\nMaximum temperatures will reach just -2C across parts of Scotland, and
\ntypically 1 to 3C elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Most snow flurries will
\ngradually ease away later this afternoon and evening, to leave a cold
\nnight with a sharp frost and ice.<\/p>\n

Tuesday will turn a
\nlittle milder, but further hill snow is possible over the higher ground of
\nScotland and northern England. <\/p>\n

Later in the day and through the night, another
\narea of rain, sleet and hill snow will affect the southern half of the UK. <\/p>\n

Any
\nsnowfall by Tuesday is not expected to be as heavy or disruptive as it has been
\nover the past few days.<\/p>\n
