<a href=\"https:\/\/kayosports.com.au?pg=cricket&amp;extcamp=fsaeditoriallinkcricket-edt-fsp-lnk-awr-grc-cri-kyo&amp;channel=fsa&amp;campaign=fsacontra&amp;voucher=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Join now and get your first month for just $1.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>MATCH CENTRE: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com.au\/cricket\/match-centre\/BBL2025-260124\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Sixers vs Heat live scorecard, videos and updates<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Heat could\u2019ve been in an even worse position had Sydney Sixers captain Moises Henriques not withdrawn an appeal for a timed out wicket.<\/p>\n<p>Matt Kuhnemann was not ready within 75 seconds of the previous wicket as his side collapsed in Coffs Harbour.<\/p>\n<p>However Henriques could be heard saying \u201cI withdraw\u201d as his partner Hugh Weibgen asked for new gloves.<\/p>\n<p>The Sixers still needed 49 off 42 deliveries approaching the start of the 14th over, but it was delayed by an attention seeker who ran onto the field and caused play to be stopped for a couple of minutes.<\/p>\n<p>That brief delay proved to be a turning point as Joel Davies whacked a six and a boundary on a night where runs were hard to come by, with the all-rounder and Hayden Kerr saving the day with a match-winning partnership of 62.<\/p>\n<p>Davies (35 not out) was outstanding with bat and ball, while Kerr (27 not out) sealed victory with a six in the penultimate over.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t pretty, but the win sees the Sixers leapfrog the Heat into the top four in what continues to be one of the most unpredictable tournaments on record.<\/p>\n<p>HOT AND COLD<\/p>\n<p>The Heat were given no chance of beating the Sixers after an underwhelming display with the bat, but their bowlers defied the odds to almost help them pull off one of the great wins in BBL history.<\/p>\n<p>The competition\u2019s Jekyll and Hyde team seemed destined to lose again to the men in magenta, but the old adage that you can\u2019t judge a pitch until both teams have batted on it rang true in Coffs Harbour.<\/p>\n<p>Brisbane\u2019s inexperienced attack played like a team of grizzled veterans as they ripped through the Sixers to nearly produce the lowest successful total defence in BBL history which remains the 117 that the Scorchers defended in 2013\/14.<\/p>\n<p>Youngster Oli Patterson gave them a sniff when he removed Pakistani superstar Babar Azam and Josh Philippe in consecutive deliveries, before Matt Kuhnemann (2-14) put the Sixers in a spin to also be on a hat-trick.<\/p>\n<p>&#8217;13 Rows Back!&#8217; &#8211; Massive BBL Hit | 00:34<\/p>\n<p>BIG CALL BACKFIRES<\/p>\n<p>The decision to drop superstar opener Colin Munro is one the Heat will have to question for the next few days after they made the sensational call to omit the high-profile import after a lean run with the bat.<\/p>\n<p>The New Zealand veteran managed just 39 runs in his past five innings, but the Heat could have used his experience on a night they crumbled against some disciplined bowling and excellence in the field.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a big call to leave out your overseas professionals like Colin Munro who has so much experience around the world,\u201d Australian legend Mike Hussey said in commentary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cT20 cricket can be a little bit volatile, so I\u2019m surprised they\u2019ve left out the overseas player.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Heat were flying in the third over when Jack Wildermuth (31 off 17) whacked consecutive sixes, but it all fell apart a few balls later when Lachlan Hearne \u2013 the man who replaced Munro \u2013 was trapped in front for one.<\/p>\n<p>That sparked an epic collapse of 5-23, with their shocking innings summed up when play was delayed because Hugh Weibgen was given the wrong set of gloves following a wicket.<\/p>\n<p>The Sixers were fantastic with Davies (2-19 off four overs) the pick of the bowlers, while Ben Dwarshuis chimed in with two wickets and a perfect throw to run Weibgen out.<\/p>\n<p>RELIVE ALL THE ACTION IN OUR BLOG BELOW. <a href=\"https:\/\/go.arena.im\/live\/fox-sports-australia\/BBL2025-260124?v=2\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">CAN\u2019T SEE IT?
