Lynette Bolton, wife of former AFL star Jude Bolton, has shared a\ufeff devastating update<\/a> on her breast cancer battle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 44-year-old posted a video on Instagram on January 5 explaining she was sent home from her most recent chemotherapy treatment because her “liver is not coping with chemo”.<\/p>\n

“The markers for my liver keep going up,” she shared.<\/p>\n

Lynette said she had a “baseline of 50” before beginning treatment and it “was up at 399”.<\/p>\n

“So the liver is not coping, and what that means is we can’t put any more pressure on the liver. I’m not sure if we can figure out if its the immunotherapy or the chemotherapy.”<\/p>\n

Lynette said her blood work will be repeated later this week to see if she can proceed with her treatment, ideally “on Monday, as per usual”.<\/p>\n

The mother-of-two fought back tears as she struggled to process the delay to what would have been the third round of her chemotherapy treatment.<\/p>\n

“\ufeffI think the reason I’m so sad is I was ready to do it. You plan your life around this and if I’d gone in today and got one more done that was one more off the list,” she continued. <\/p>\n

She added that overall she’s been “feeling good”\ufeff.<\/p>\n

“I’ve had headaches\ufeff, I’m tired, nothing I can’t handle,” Lynette said, adding this most recent bad news was a “hit across the face to just make me realise that I actually have no control over this”.<\/p>\n

Lynette is meant to be completing 12 sessions of chemotherapy over three months and will only have completed three of them in two months if next week’s session goes ahead.<\/p>\n

“I can’t plan anything, I can’t assume that things will go ahead. So I’ve just got to get it under control. The nurses of course are amazing. But my liver’s just not coping,” she said. <\/p>\n

She ended the video by saying she is trying not to think about the schedule and her treatment will “take however long it takes”.<\/p>\n

“And I think that I probably just have to assume that its going to take a full year to get all the f—ing chemo\ufeff, then the operation, then the radiation. Its just going to take a long time,” she said. <\/p>\n

Lynette expressed gratitude for all the support she has been receiving in person and online, concluding that it could be “so much worse”.<\/p>\n

“Fingers crossed we’re good to go next Monday,” she added.<\/p>\n

Lynette was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, a fast-growing and aggressive form of the disease that is not driven by hormones, at the end of 2025.<\/p>\n

She began chemotherapy just before Christmas.<\/p>\n

\ufeffLynette discovered a lump while having a shower in November and was diagnosed 10 days later.<\/p>\n

She has chosen to share her breast cancer journey on social media to support other women suffering from the disease.<\/p>\n

“Starting chemo six days before Christmas certainly wasn’t on my 2025 bingo card,” Lynette said in a previous post.<\/p>\n

“Countless doctor appointments, mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies, MRIs, blood tests, breast surgeon and oncology appts later (even a day surgery) AND today I kicked off the first of 12 to 24 weekly rounds of immunotherapy and chemo.<\/p>\n

“It’s happened fast. Really bloody fast.<\/p>\n

“I’m not scared. I’m mostly pissed off. I’m really not very good at being told to slow down.”<\/p>\n

Lynette and former Sydney Swans player Jude Bolton, 45, reportedly met in 2004 in Kings Cross, Sydney, before tying the knot in 2010.<\/p>\n

They are parents to two daughters, Siarra and Piper, who are believed to be aged 13 and 11 respectively.<\/p>\n
