ANDR\u00c9 Heimgartner is about to follow Jack Le Brocq<\/a> into rare air in ATCC\/Supercars Championship history.<\/p>\n

The Kiwi will next month become the seventh driver to have represented five or more manufacturers in the championship.<\/p>\n

Heimgartner debuted in the main game aboard a Super Black Racing Falcon that he shared with compatriot Ant Pedersen in the 2014 Bathurst 1000.<\/p>\n

His first Holden drive came in 2016 for Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport, before spending two years in Nissan Altimas at Kelly Racing (2018-19).<\/p>\n

After second stints with Ford and Holden, he moved into a Chevrolet Camaro via Brad Jones Racing as the category\u2019s Gen3 ruleset took effect.<\/p>\n

Now, the 30-year-old is closing in on his Toyota debut with BJR one of two teams to field Supras.<\/p>\n

There will be five Supras in action at the Sydney season-opener across February 20-22, with Heimgartner\u2019s to sport its customary R&J Batteries backing and #8.<\/p>\n

Kevin Bartlett is the outright all-time leader in the most manufacturers list with six.<\/p>\n

Le Brocq joined the five-plus bracket three years ago, and could yet equal Bartlett if he finds himself in Toyota machinery in the future.<\/p>\n
