\n\tAmazon<\/a> Prime Video\u2019s Tomb Raider<\/a> TV series has added Sigourney Weaver<\/a>, Jason Isaacs<\/a>, Celia Imrie, Bill Paterson and others to its cast. We already knew Turner landed the lead Lara Croft role<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tAlong with Turner, Isaacs (White Lotus), Paterson and Martin Bobb-Semple all play canon roles.<\/p>\n \n\tThe series, an adaptation of the popular video games, hails from co-showrunners Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Chad Hodge; Jonathan Van Tulleken (Dope Thief, Shogun) will direct and executive produce.<\/p>\n \n\tThe canon cast and characters now includes:<\/p>\n Martin Bobb-Semple is Zip, Lara Croft\u2019s long-standing tech support and friend.<\/p>\n Jason Isaacs is\u00a0Atlas DeMornay, Laura\u2019s uncle.<\/p>\n Bill Paterson is Winston, the longstanding Croft family butler.<\/p>\n \n\tThe other newcomers are:<\/p>\n Jack Bannon is\u00a0Gerry, Lara\u2019s personal pilot and snack collector.<\/p>\n John Heffernan is\u00a0David, an exhausted government official who finds himself tangled up in Lara\u2019s unusual world.<\/p>\n Celia Imrie is\u00a0Francine, the head of advancement at the British Museum, focused solely on raising funds and glasses of champagne.<\/p>\n Paterson Joseph is\u00a0Thomas Warner, a senior government official brought in to clean up an almighty mess.<\/p>\n Sasha Luss is\u00a0Sasha, a fierce, deeply competitive new adversary of Lara\u2019s.<\/p>\n Juliette Motamed is Georgia, a devoted, by-the-books curator at the British Museum, dedicated to the \u201cproper\u201d preservation of history.<\/p>\n Sigourney Weaver is\u00a0Evelyn Wallis, a mysterious, high-flying woman who is keen to exploit Lara\u2019s talents.<\/p>\n August Wittgenstein is\u00a0Lukas, an illegal raider who shares history with Lara in more ways than one.<\/p>\n \n\tTurner, whose recent credits include HBO Max\u2019s\u00a0The Staircase\u00a0and the ITV\/CW miniseries\u00a0Joan, will be the third actress to play the iconic video game character in a live-action adaptation of\u00a0Tomb Raider. Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander took on the role in previous feature films<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI\u2019ve been a long-time fan of\u00a0Tomb Raider\u00a0and\u00a0the character of Lara. Crystal Dynamics (which developed the\u00a0Tomb Raider\u00a0game franchise), Story Kitchen and Amazon MGM Studios are producing the series.<\/p>\n \n\tWaller-Bridge executive produces via her Wells Street Productions. Hodge, Van Tulleken, Wells Street\u2019s Jenny Robins, Story Kitchen\u2019s Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg and Timothy I.
