TGL adding women’s division in late 2026

Established in 2018 by the R&A and Asia Pacific Golf Federation, the championship unearths emerging talent and provides a pathway for elite female amateurs in the Asia-Pacific region.

The winner earns starts in three major championships – the AIG Women’s Open, Amundi Evian Championship and the Chevron Championship – along with invitations to elite events such as the Women’s Australian Open, Hana Financial Group Championship, the Women’s Amateur Championship, and the Augusta National Women’s Amateur.

Roberts and Scaysbrook return to Australia’s squad after competing at the 2025 WAAP in Vietnam where Roberts finished equal fourth as Australia’s top performer while Scaysbrook tied for 42nd.

Coached by Dean Kinney and managed by Stacey Peters, the Australian contingent arrives with strong belief in its preparation.

“It’s one of those events that bridges the gap between top-level amateur golf and what they’re all ultimately chasing,” Peters said.

“The standard is high, the pressure is real, and the rewards on offer are pretty special – it’s exactly the kind of environment you want young players exposed to. They’ve all had plenty of national and state-level experience coming into this, and they’re at slightly different stages which is great for the team dynamic.

“There’s a lot of belief in this group, and they push each other in the right way. By the time we get to Royal Wellington, it’s about trusting the work they’ve already done.”

Six of Australia’s leading female amateurs will chase major-championship starts and a trip to Augusta National when they…

[566
211373,64,63,211374,211375,755,122462,211376,211377,115133,211378,211379,211380,211381,85,211382,211383
post-396362","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-golf","tag-asia-pacific-golf-federation","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-dean-kinney","tag-ella-scaysbrook","tag-golf","tag-golf-australia","tag-grace-rho","tag-jazy-roberts","tag-ra","tag-rachel-lee","tag-raegan-denton","tag-royal-wellington-golf-club","tag-shyla-singh","tag-sports","tag-stacey-peters","tag-womens-amateur-asia-pacific-championship
["GET
