Portland would have had to waive him on or before Friday in order to avoid guaranteeing that full amount, as our <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopsrumors.com\/2025\/05\/early-nba-salary-guarantee-dates-for-2025-26.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">early salary guarantee tracker<\/a> shows.<\/p>\n<p>Reath has spent the last two seasons with the Blazers. He averaged 9.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks per game while shooting 35.9% from three as a rookie, but saw his playing time diminish from 17.9 minutes per night over 68 games to 10.2 minutes per night over 46 games last season following the addition of rookie center <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/clingdo01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-08-01_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Donovan Clingan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While previous starting center <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/a\/aytonde01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-08-01_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Deandre Ayton<\/a> is now with the Lakers, the Blazers once again took a big man in the first round in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/y\/yangha01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-08-01_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Yang Hansen<\/a>.
