Nonetheless, the ROG Xreal R1 has a few advantages over other AR glasses in its corner. For one, the ROG Xreal R1 offers a 240 Hz refresh rate across its micro OLED displays rather than the 120 Hz peak of contemporary AR glasses.<\/p>\n
Additionally the ROG Xreal R1 features Bose-tuned speakers, with speaker quality being a shortcoming of many AR glasses. Moreover, Asus advertises its glasses with the ROG Control Dock, an accessory that bridges the gap between the ROG Xreal R1 and devices like a PC via DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 ports. Currently, Asus hopes to launch the ROG Xreal R1 and ROG Control Dock before the summer. Pricing remains a mystery at this stage, as do full technical specifications.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Unfortunately, the FHD (1,920 x 1,080) restriction of older AR glasses remains, as does the relatively narrow 57-degree…\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":397373,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[19],"tags":[1332,43100,211771,64,63,234,1853,235,227,233,226,236,232,228,229,211773,211772,105,231,230,238,239,240],"class_list":{"0":"post-397372","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-virtual-reality","8":"tag-ar-glasses","9":"tag-asus","10":"tag-asus-rog-xreal","11":"tag-au","12":"tag-australia","13":"tag-benchmarks","14":"tag-gaming","15":"tag-graphics-card","16":"tag-laptop","17":"tag-netbook","18":"tag-notebook","19":"tag-processor","20":"tag-reports","21":"tag-review","22":"tag-reviews","23":"tag-rog-control-dock","24":"tag-rog-xreal-r1","25":"tag-technology","26":"tag-test","27":"tag-tests","28":"tag-virtual-reality","29":"tag-virtualreality","30":"tag-vr"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/397372","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=397372"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/397372\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/397373"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=397372"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=397372"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=397372"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
