Molly Tuttle brought her new band to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday to perform her Grammy-nominated song \u201cThat\u2019s Gonna Leave A Mark\u201d, from her new critically acclaimed pop-country solo album Goodbye Little Miss Sunshine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The song is in the running for Best Americana Performance, peaked in the Top 20 of Billboard\u2018s Adult Alternative Airplay (AAA), and spent four weeks at #1 on Americana Radio, making it her most successful radio track to date. That\u2019s no surprise given the song\u2019s combination of catchy pop hooks and Tuttle\u2019s distinctive guitar playing. It arrived as the lead single for Tuttle\u2019s latest release, which is nominated for Best Americana Album.<\/p>\n

Goodbye Little Miss Sunshine marks a significant departure from Tuttle\u2019s previous releases, the last two of which, Crooked Tree\u00a0and\u00a0City of Gold, each won a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album. The album features 11 original songs blending pop, country, rock, and flat-picking, plus a cover of Icona Pop\u00a0and\u00a0Charli XCX\u2019s \u201cI Love It\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like to be a bit of a chameleon with my music,\u201d Tuttle said of her new sound. She added that she had \u201cbeen wanting to make this record for such a long time,\u201d noting, \u201cPart of me was scared to do such a big departure, and that went into the album title.\u201d Ultimately, she overcame her apprehension and decided, \u201cYou know what? I\u2019m just not going to care what people think. I\u2019m going to do what I want.\u201d That resolve has already begun to pay off.<\/p>\n
