It\u2019s been 10 years since\u00a0Bruno Mars<\/a>\u2018 seminal record,\u00a024K Magic\u00a0<\/a>\u2014 and now, his highly anticipated fourth solo album, titled\u00a0The Romantic, is finally ready.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Jan. 7, Mars revealed the album\u2019s Feb. 27 release date, as well as its cover. He also said new music would arrive on Friday, Jan. 9.<\/p>\n

Mars confirmed\u00a0The Romantic\u00a0just a couple days after revealing that he had completed his upcoming record. At the time, he shared few details about the LP to come, writing only on X: \u201cMy album is done.\u201d<\/p>\n

While this will be his first solo album since the 2016 classic that featured hits like \u2018That\u2019s What I Like,\u2019 \u2018Versace on the Floor<\/a>,\u2019 and \u2018Finesse,\u2019 he also linked up with Anderson .Paak to form Silk Sonic and dropped the 2021 duo LP,\u00a0An Evening With Silk Sonic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

24K Magic\u00a0was unequivocally one of the most successful modern albums, winning the star\u00a0seven Grammys<\/a>, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year for the title track, and Song of the Year for \u2018That\u2019s What I Like<\/a>.\u2019 The Silk Sonic record also received acclaim, especially with lead single\u00a0\u2018Leave the Door Open,<\/a>\u2018 which won both Record and Song of the Year at the 2022 Grammys, along with two other trophies. (The duo decided not to submit the album itself for consideration, despite being a top contender. \u201cWe thank the Grammys for allowing us to perform on their platform \u2014 not once but twice \u2014 and awarding us at last year\u2019s ceremony,\u201d Mars\u00a0told\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/a>\u00a0at the time. \u201cWe\u2019d be crazy to ask for anything more.\u201d)<\/p>\n

After the Silk Sonic era, Mars returned with several massive duets including \u2018Fat, Juicy & Wet\u2019 with Sexyy Redd and \u2018Die With a Smile,\u2019 the smash hit with Lady Gaga, which won a Grammy at the 2025 awards show. He also linked up with Ros\u00e9 for \u2018APT\u2019 at the end of 2024 and the collab gained three Grammy nominations at next month\u2019s awards show, including Record and Song of the Year.<\/p>\n
