{"id":401132,"date":"2026-01-09T03:36:15","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T03:36:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/401132\/"},"modified":"2026-01-09T03:36:15","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T03:36:15","slug":"tickford-locks-in-2026-supercars-race-engineers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/401132\/","title":{"rendered":"Tickford locks in 2026 Supercars race engineers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TICKFORD Racing will maintain stability in its Repco Supercars Championship driver\/engineer relationships for the coming season.<\/p>\n<p>Tickford has confirmed to V8 Sleuth that Sam Potter and Chris Stuckey will continue as race engineers for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-58-Cam-Waters\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cam Waters<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-1293-Thomas-Randle\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas Randle<\/a> respectively in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The Potter\/Waters combination dates all the way back to the start of 2019, since which time the Monster Mustang has been a regular at the pointy end of the field.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/superstore.v8sleuth.com.au\/products\/tickford-racing-the-cars-2003-2023-book?utm_source=SRBuyButton&amp;utm_medium=website\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/tickfordracingthecars_1024x1024.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Stuckey and Randle meanwhile have directly worked together since the 2023 Gold Coast 500, achieving six podiums to date.<\/p>\n<p>Stuckey had previously been a journeyman of the paddock most famous for orchestrating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-38-Nick-Percat\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nick Percat<\/a>\u2019s boilover win for Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport at the 2016 Adelaide 500.<\/p>\n<p>Tickford has recently moved to add to its engineering department by advertising for a performance engineer to aid Potter and Stuckey.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to fielding two full-time main game entries, Tickford will again run four cars in Dunlop Super2 \u2013 this year for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-2802-Reuben-Goodall\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reuben Goodall<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-2680-Nash-Morris\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nash Morris<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-2866-Ben-Gomersall\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ben Gomersall<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-2798-Campbell-Logan\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Campbell Logan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/006-Waters-EV08-24-MH1_7733-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-160089\"  \/>Sam Potter and Cam Waters on the 2024 Tasmania SuperSprint podium.
