Around the time he released his classic debut album <a href=\"https:\/\/stereogum.com\/2193640\/deadringer-turns-20\/reviews\/the-anniversary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Deadringer<\/a>, he was teaming with Blueprint under the name Soul Position. &#8220;A Beautiful Mine,&#8221; the RJ track that became the Mad Men theme, started out as a beat on Magnificent City, his album with Aceyalone. So it&#8217;s no surprise that he&#8217;s got another LP-length rapper collab on deck.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, RJD2 shared &#8220;Machines Like Us,&#8221; a new track with the veteran North Carolina emcee Supastition. It sounds like a video game breaking out in the middle of a classic underground boom-bap track.
