A great week for Travis Head has got even better on the golf course, with Australia<\/a>\u2019s cult hero producing some remarkable work with his putter barely 24 hours after lifting the Ashes urn.<\/p>\n

After leading his side\u2019s celebrations following a win in Sydney which secured a 4-1 series victory, Head defied what may have been a sore head to quickly head back to his home State of South Australia to take his place for a Blitz Golf event at Adelaide\u2019s Kooyonga Golf<\/a> Club.<\/p>\n

How he performed on the day was not entirely clear, but a video emerged on social media of him producing a a perfect putt which had enough pace to get over a hill and sharply broke right to drop into the hole to a rapturous reception.<\/p>\n

Head smashed 629 runs across the course of the five Tests but was beaten to the Compton-Miller Medal as the player of the series by Mitchell Starc.<\/p>\n

The South Australian left-hander justified a promotion to the top of the order in place of the injured Usman Khawaja in the series opener in Perth by smashing a match-winning century.<\/p>\n

He also hit hundreds in both his hometown of Adelaide for the fourth Test running and in the fifth and final game of the series in Sydney.<\/p>\n

Head was happy to document Australia\u2019s Ashes celebrations for Instagram, with photos he posted including him raising his glass alongside the replica crystal urn which had been filled with beer and a happy snap with wife Jess and young children Milla and Harrison.<\/p>\n

After being named as the player of the match at the SCG, Head said he would leave the bulk of the organising work for Australia\u2019s party to the \u201cSydney boys\u201d.<\/p>\n
