{"id":405153,"date":"2026-01-11T00:22:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-11T00:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/405153\/"},"modified":"2026-01-11T00:22:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-11T00:22:08","slug":"braves-sign-reliever-tyler-kinley-to-1-year-3m-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/405153\/","title":{"rendered":"Braves sign reliever Tyler Kinley to 1-year, $3M contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ATLANTA &#8212; The <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"122673a3-bf06-4432-6950-b8a32e52ac2e\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/atl\/atlanta-braves\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Braves<\/a> signed right-hander <a data-player-guid=\"954f56db-1c2d-ad37-0049-22c99407ad15\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/34166\/tyler-kinley\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tyler Kinley<\/a> on Saturday to a $3 million deal for 2026 with a club option for 2027, continuing their offseason work on their bullpen.<\/p>\n<p>Kinley, 34, was 5-0 with a 0.72 ERA in 25 innings with Atlanta last season after he was acquired from Colorado on July 30.<\/p>\n<p>The deal with Kinley comes after the Braves signed two-time All-Star <a data-player-guid=\"91ca4083-0323-3bb0-bf58-8f895ab33200\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/4148749\/robert-suarez\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Robert Suarez<\/a> to a $45 million, three-year contract on Dec. 11. The Braves re-signed closer <a data-player-guid=\"6636819d-5734-3a88-f323-65691e35e7cc\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/33618\/raisel-iglesias\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Raisel Iglesias<\/a> to a $16 million, one-year contract on Nov. 19.<\/p>\n<p>The 2027 club option for Kinley is $5.5 million with a $1.25 million buyout.<\/p>\n<p>In eight major league seasons with the Braves, Rockies and <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"74909d10-eacb-1376-ef1e-d0f37d7c67ca\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/mia\/miami-marlins\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miami Marlins<\/a>, Kinley has a 19-14 record and 4.75 ERA.
