In the opening game on Sunday, the Buffalo Bills visit the AFC South champion Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>. The Jaguars flipped their record from 3-14 last season to 13-4 in head coach Liam Coen\u2019s first year. Buffalo is in an unfamiliar position as it finished second in the AFC East and will be on the road in the wild-card round for the first time since Josh Allen\u2019s second NFL season.<\/p>\n

The AFC East has a new champion this year in New England, which won the division title for the first time since 2019 \u2026 which means Buffalo will need to win multiple road games to get over the hump and make it to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 1990s.<\/p>\n

Allen had another big year with 39 total touchdowns<\/a> (25 passing, 14 rushing) and 3,668 yards through the air. Buffalo fell to Kansas City in a thriller last postseason and won\u2019t have an easy road this year.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville won its first AFC South title since 2022 this season, finishing with the second-most wins in the conference. The Jaguars won the second-most games in franchise history and earned the franchise\u2019s first double-digit win campaign since they won 10 games in 2017 and made it to the AFC championship game. Coen may have unlocked something in Trevor Lawrence that could carry the Jaguars through the postseason<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, the officials ruled that Joey Bosa jumped offsides, giving the Jaguars one second left for a field goal attempt. But Cam Little\u2019s 54-yard attempt goes wide left as the clock hit 0:00.<\/p>\n

Following a 4-yard catch by Dawson Knox, the Bills acted as if they\u2019d go for it on fourth-and-4 from the Jaguars\u2019 45-yard line.<\/p>\n

But Buffalo couldn\u2019t draw Jacksonville offsides and took a 5-yard delay of game penalty. Mitch Wishnowsky kicks an outstanding 47-yard punt which rolls out of bounds and pins the Jaguars at the 3-yard line.<\/p>\n

Replay review showed that the ball went through Brandin Cooks\u2019 arms and hit the ground as he slid to the turf. The 26-yard catch is overturned and the Bills have a third-and-8 at the Jaguars\u2019 49-yard line.<\/p>\n

On second-and-7 from the Jacksonville 48-yard line, Josh Allen hits Brandin Cooks over the middle for a 26-yard gain.<\/p>\n

However, the play is under review as the ball may have gotten out of Cooks\u2019 grasp and hit the ground.<\/p>\n
