Matt White has returned to the Seven Network, joining the Sydney news team as a sports presenter and contributing to a new NRL analysis show.<\/p>\n
White will front Seven\u2019s expanded NRL coverage in 2026, after the network won the broadcasting rights to the Rugby League World Cup 2026. White begins on the Seven News Sydney sports desk this Sunday, January 18, and from next month will also offer nightly NRL analysis across bulletins nationwide.<\/p>\n
In addition, White will contribute to Seven\u2019s new league-focused program NRL Agenda Setters, and join the on-air team for the Rugby League World Cup in October and November.<\/p>\n
White spent the majority of his broadcasting career at Ten, starting there in 1993 as the host of Sports Tonight.<\/p>\n

He enjoyed a decade-long stint at Seven between 2004 and 2014, before defecting back to Ten, taking a general sports presenter role with the network and moving to head of sport in 2018. Ten made him redundant<\/a> in 2020, after which he hosted the Mornings with Matt White radio show on the Sports Entertainment Network.
