Nambour Rugby Union Club is proud to announce an exciting new chapter as the club enters a strong growth phase and looks to welcome new players, coaches, managers and volunteers for the coming seasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n
From Under 6s boys and girls right through to senior men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams, Nambour Rugby is a club for everyone, according to President Greg Wright. \u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWith momentum building across all levels, the club is moving in a positive direction and inviting the people of Nambour and the wider hinterland to be part of something special,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
For the first time in years, Nambour has a Junior Colts program underway, a major milestone that reflects the club\u2019s renewed focus on clear development pathways.\u00a0<\/p>\n
To support this, the club is actively encouraging players in the Under 14s and Under 15s age groups to get involved and help strengthen the future of Colts rugby at Nambour.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Just as exciting is the strong push to reintroduce an Under 6s program, also for the first time in many years, helping rebuild a vibrant junior base and secure the club\u2019s long-term future. \u201cLocal schools are warmly invited to connect with the club, which prides itself on being a family-oriented, social environment built on great people and a strong, inclusive culture,\u201d said Wright.<\/p>\n
Women\u2019s rugby is also gaining real momentum at Nambour. The club\u2019s women\u2019s program continues to grow, complemented by a strong junior girls\u2019 pathway that is becoming increasingly popular.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cIn many age groups, the girls are matching and often outperforming the boys, highlighting just how well young ladies are thriving in the sport. Nambour Rugby encourages all women and girls to get involved, regardless of experience, as rugby proves time and again to be an empowering and rewarding game.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
World Cup fever\u00a0<\/p>\n
With the Rugby World Cup coming to Australia in 2027, there had never been a better time to get involved in the game.\u00a0 Wright said he had experienced the incredible atmosphere and community spirit that comes with World Cup fever and recommended being part of rugby during this historic period, especially as nations new to the sport take part on the world stage.<\/p>\n
Nambour Rugby understands the challenges of balancing work, school and sporting commitments, which is why the club\u2019s location makes participation easy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cClose to local schools with simple access and a school bus stop just past the front gate, the club is ideally placed for families,\u201d Wright said. \u201cWe have a dedicated coaching group and an outstanding committee committed to a relaxed feel and a safe, welcoming environment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Toad Tag Tuesdays<\/p>\n
\u2022 As part of its growth, the club invites all juniors, men and ladies to come down and take part in Toad Tag, held every Tuesday at 4.30pm. Toad Tag is a fun, social and welcoming introduction to rugby and a great way to connect with the club ahead of the 2026 season.
