The Bay View Terrace store, which opened in Perth\u2019s west back in 2007, shared the heart-wrenching news to their 97,000 Instagram followers in late December.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is a bittersweet moment as our Claremont residency officially comes to an end,\u201d the business began their statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis space has become more than just a storefront: it was a destination for the community and a home for the culture we\u2019ve built together.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe look back with gratitude at the history written here \u2014 from the footwear lineups that stretched down the block to our collaborations and exclusive HAL releases, Claremont was the foundation for everything we\u2019ve become.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe cherish the memories of every event and every person who walked through the doors over nearly two decades.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo our local Claremont community and our long-term customers: thank you for 18 years of support.\u201d<\/p>\n
Local shoppers in the area were devastated over the shock closure, with many saying it was an \u201cend of an era\u201d for the western suburb.<\/p>\n
\u201cI LOVED going there,\u201d one streetwear lover said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThanks for the memories,\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n
A third WA local credited the Claremont location as \u201cwhere (their) sneaker obsession began as a youngster\u201d.<\/p>\n
