Martin\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>\n<\/p>\n<p>Berlin\/Milan, January 13, 2026 \u2013 HBO Max, the premier global streaming service from Warner Bros. Discovery, is now available to download and start streaming direct-to-consumer in eight new countries: Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Israel, and Greece. \u00a0With these new markets joining WBD\u2019s streaming footprint, HBO Max \u2013 now available in over 100 countries worldwide \u2013 moves closer to being available across all of Europe, with the UK and Ireland remaining and coming at the end of March.<\/p>\n<p>At launch, as well as being available direct-to-consumer, HBO Max will also be available as an add-on subscription for Amazon Prime Video customers in Italy, Germany, and Austria. In Germany HBO Max and RTL+ will be available together in a bundle that provides access to both services for a single subscription price. Customers in Austria will also soon be able to enjoy the same bundle.\u00a0TIM\u00a0is a partner in Italy, offering HBO Max to its TIMVISION customers soon. Additionally, waipu.tv will seamlessly integrate HBO Max into its platform for the German launch. In Switzerland, the launch takes place in partnership with Sunrise\u00a0and Swisscom\u00a0which make HBO Max available to their customers as part of their entertainment offerings. In Israel, Hot\u00a0and Yes\u00a0will make HBO Max available to its subscribers via their platforms. In Greece, HBO Max also continues to be available through Vodafone,\u00a0since their launch in February 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Fans in these countries will be able to watch an incredible lineup of entertainment from HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, Warner Bros. Television, Max Originals and much more. This month will see new and returning titles arriving on the platform, from Paul Thomas Anderson\u2019s One Battle After Another, and a return to Westeros in the exclusive HBO Original series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms\u00a0(January 19), to the twists and turns as they unfold on the trading floor in the next season of Industry,\u00a0available to watch exclusively in Italy for the first time ever. Subscribers will be able to watch Emmy award-winning Max Original The Pitt,\u00a0available in Germany for the first time, which also returns for its second season this month. Fans can also catch the steamy ice hockey romance sensation, Heated Rivalry exclusive to HBO Max in these markets.*<\/p>\n<p>Hit HBO Original series include It: Welcome to Derry, The Last of Us, The White Lotus, Euphoria, Task, House of the Dragon, Succession, The Penguin, His Dark Materials,\u00a0Max Originals And Just Like That&#8230;\u00a0and Peacemaker,\u00a0Adult Swim\u2019s Rick and Morty\u00a0\u2014 as well as iconic series Friends, Game of Thrones, The Big Bang Theory, Sex and the City, The Sopranos, The Wire, True Blood, Veep,\u00a0and Curb Your Enthusiasm.<\/p>\n<p>Movie lovers will be able to enjoy global smash hits that have dominated conversation this year, including DC\u2019s Superman, and coming soon \u2013 New Line Cinema\u2019s Weapons and The Conjuring: Last Rites. Among the timeless classics on the service are the magical adventures found in Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, as well as the legendary journeys through Middle earth in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. For those looking for further thrills, step into the world of Arrakis in Dune or crime-riddled Gotham in The Batman.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after HBO Max lands in Italy, the country will become home to the Olympic Winter Games (February 6-22), which will be made available to HBO Max subscribers across every plan in all European countries where the service is available. Customers will be able to watch every live event broadcast from the peaks of the Dolomites to venues nestled around Milan, home to the Duomo Di Milano.<\/p>\n<p>For fans that want all the sports action from Eurosport year-round, the Sports add-on will give customers live coverage and commentary from every tennis match at the Australian Open starting January 12 and Roland-Garros, and every stage in full as cyclists compete in the Tour de France, Giro D\u2019Italia and La Vuelta.\u00a0In Germany and Italy, viewers will have unmatched access to the winter sports season, including World Championships and World Cup events, and viewers in Italy will benefit from FA Cup and UFC\u00a0coverage.**<\/p>\n<p>The first wave of exclusive HBO Local programming for these markets will begin on February 20, when Marco Bellocchio\u2019s Portobello,\u00a0starring Fabrizio Gifuni, arrives on the platform in Italy. Banksters, a German heist drama based on a true story, will also premiere on the platform worldwide in February. More will follow from Italy later in the year, including a gripping drama Melania Rea \u2013 Beyond the Case\u00a0which retraces the shocking 2011 murder. Customers worldwide will also see further dramas including German production 4 Blocks Zero, a prequel of award-winning gangster drama 4 Blocks.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Amongst a raft of new Italian productions announced today, HBO Max confirmed that production will begin in the coming days on Peccato, the mockumentary comedy series starring Emanuela Fanelli, set in the near future and offering an ironic and intelligent reimagining of the actress\u2019s career. Through an inventive blend of real archival footage and fictional reconstructions, including interviews, television excerpts, and specially created material, the series portrays a spectacular unraveling that is both entertaining and emotionally resonant, supported by a stellar ensemble cast.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Also coming soon is In Utero, the series starring Sergio Castellitto, set within a fertility clinic in Barcelona. The series explores the stories of those facing reproductive challenges and the people who accompany them along the way, raising thoughtful questions about the meaning of family and the ethical boundaries of science. Among the scripted series in development is also 500 BEATS, a high-tension, emotional and morally complex medical drama, in which a race against time for a heart transplant intertwines the lives of doctors, patients and families, exploring what happens before, during and after salvation.<\/p>\n<p>JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming &amp; Games at Warner Bros.
