{"id":411020,"date":"2026-01-13T23:16:06","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T23:16:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/411020\/"},"modified":"2026-01-13T23:16:06","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T23:16:06","slug":"jack-miller-yamaha-made-miracles-happen-to-build-v4-motogp-bike","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/411020\/","title":{"rendered":"Jack Miller: Yamaha \u201cmade miracles happen\u201d to build V4 MotoGP bike"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pramac MotoGP rider Jack Miller says Yamaha \u201cmade miracles happen\u201d to build and race the first prototype of its V4-powered M1 last season.<\/p>\n<p>The Japanese brand first revealed in 2024 that it was finally developing a V4 engine, having raced an inline-four for the entirety of the modern <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MotoGP<\/a> era to that point.<\/p>\n<p>The V4 bike made its debut in a wildcard outing with Augusto Fernandez at the San Marino Grand Prix, where it scored points with a 14th-place finish.<\/p>\n<p>Fernandez raced the bike twice more that season, in Malaysia and Valencia, with Yamaha now committed to using the V4 in 2026.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/news\/1088427\/1\/pramac-reveals-livery-toprak-razgatlioglus-debut-motogp-season\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">During Pramac\u2019s 2026 livery launch in Siena on Tuesday evening<\/a>, Jack Miller was full of praise for Yamaha\u2019s efforts to build the V4.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, it\u2019s an unreal undertaking from Yamaha, what they did last year to develop this motorcycle alongside the current M1 at that time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the time constraints we have with 22 rounds, they made miracles happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I believe we have a lot of busy days ahead of us throughout the pre-season, trying to get this thing ready to fight by the time we get to Thailand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jack Miller: Toprak Razgatlioglu doesn\u2019t need me as a mentor<\/p>\n<p>Miller will be joined by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/news\/1088428\/1\/toprak-razgatlioglu-warns-really-hard-motogp-transition-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">three-time World Superbike champion Toprak Razgatlioglu at Pramac this season<\/a>, as the Turkish megastar makes his MotoGP debut.<\/p>\n<p>Entering his 12th season in the premier class, Miller\u2019s experience will prove useful to Razgatlioglu as he adapts to MotoGP machinery.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>But Miller doesn\u2019t believe he will occupy the role of mentor to his new team-mate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe doesn\u2019t need a mentor, I don\u2019t think,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s got plenty of that in Kenan [Sofuoglu, Razgatlioglu\u2019s manager].<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut absolute legend of a bloke. We\u2019ve had a great couple of days here getting to know each other away from the track, away from the people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been nice to get to know him as a person.
