Yet another rift has opened up between the main cast members of \ufeffhit 2000s fixture Sex and the City.<\/a><\/p>\n

The long-running tension between leading ladies Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall<\/a> has been well documented over the years, however it’s now a pointed remark from Parker’s on-screen love interest that’s raising eyebrows.<\/p>\n

While they simmered on-screen\ufeff with oodles of chemistry, it appears there is no love lost between the duo that brought us Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big<\/a> \u2013 with Chris Noth<\/a> opting to make a very public dig at his ex-co-star.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post<\/a>, \ufeffNoth gave fans a glimpse into how he had chosen to ring in the new year \u2013 in the gym.<\/p>\n

The 71-year-old shared a photo of himself mid-workout, captioned “F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!”<\/p>\n

One fan responded in the comments, writing “You mean fcuk [Sarah Jessica Parker] & her award right? lol,”\ufeff alluding to Parker receiving the coveted Carol Burnett Award.<\/p>\n

This honorary award is bestowed by the Golden Globe Foundation<\/a> for “outstanding contributions to television on or off the screen.”<\/p>\n

\ufeffResponding to the fan’s profane jab at the Golden Globes honouree, Noth simply\ufeff replied “right.”<\/p>\n

Noth’s fan-favourite character was controversially written out of the Sex and the City spin-off show, And Just Like That,<\/a> after suffering a heart attack in the premiere episode.<\/p>\n

Mr. Big was originally set to make a grand return in a finale fantasy sequence\ufeff in which Carrie scattered his ashes \u2013 but this was not to be.<\/p>\n

The scene was ultimately cut from the final edit, following a slew of sexual assault allegations<\/a> made against the actor.<\/p>\n

Noth reprised his role as Mr. Big in spinoff series And Just Like That – but was quickly killed off. (GC Images)<\/p>\n

Two women went public with these allegations in 2021, claiming they were assaulted by the actor in 2004, and 2015 respectively.<\/p>\n

Noth vehemently denied any wrongdoing at the time, claiming the encounters were consensual.\ufeff<\/p>\n

“The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false,” he said.<\/p>\n

“These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago \u2013 no always means no \u2013 that is a line I did not cross.”<\/p>\n

There had reportedly been bad blood between Noth and his ex co-stars since \ufeffnews of the alleged sexual misconduct broke, with Parker, Cynthia Nixon<\/a> and Kristin Davis<\/a> releasing a statement in support of the victims soon after.<\/p>\n

“We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth,” the actresses wrote in a joint statement shared to social media at the time.<\/p>\n

“We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”<\/p>\n

Noth’s leading role in the 2021 revival of The Equalizer was also curtailed as a result of the allegations.<\/p>\n
