NEWS has dropped in the United States that Jess Dane has split with General Motors.<\/p>\n

GM Motorsports announced overnight that Andrea Hidalgo has taken on the role of Corvette Racing program manager in the wake of Dane\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n

Dane had joined the manufacturer in 2024 in the months after relocating to the US with partner (now husband<\/a>) Shane van Gisbergen.<\/p>\n

Her initial post was as motorsports integration manager<\/a> before shifting into the Corvette role later that year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dane subsequently oversaw Corvette\u2019s growing global GT3 presence, which will next month expand to Australia for the Bathurst 12 Hour<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBathurst is one of the most prestigious GT races in the world and it means a tremendous amount to me personally to be able to bring the program here,\u201d she said last October.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThe GT3 platform allows us to compete in global regions that we never have before, and I\u2019m so excited to bring the Z06 GT3.R to our Australian and New Zealand fans for the first time at one of my all-time favourite events.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dane of course has plenty of history with Mount Panorama through her time with the Triple Eight organisation, where she was a co-owner from 2015 to 2024.<\/p>\n

It is not yet clear what her next step is.<\/p>\n

Hidalgo meanwhile is a GM veteran of nearly two decades with a deep technical background.<\/p>\n

Before the Bathurst 12 Hour across February 13-15, Corvette will feature in the upcoming Daytona 24 with Scott McLaughlin among its drivers<\/a> on deck for the prestigious American enduro.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"NEWS has dropped in the United States that Jess Dane has split with General Motors.
