{"id":411950,"date":"2026-01-14T09:01:16","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T09:01:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/411950\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T09:01:16","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T09:01:16","slug":"corvette-names-seven-bathurst-12-hour-drivers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/411950\/","title":{"rendered":"Corvette names seven Bathurst 12 Hour drivers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW Zealand endurance racing star Earl Bamber will form a key part of Corvette\u2019s Bathurst 12 Hour debut next month.<\/p>\n<p>Bamber has been named alongside Alex Sims and Nicky Catsburg in the #2 Z06 GT3.R entered in the outright Pro class.<\/p>\n<p>That car will be run by Johor Motorsports Racing Team, as will a #99 Pro-Am entry for Prince Jefri Ibrahim, Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim, Ben Green, and Australia\u2019s Jordan Love.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to returning to Bathurst and getting back in the Corvette with Nicky and Alex,\u201d said Bamber, who partnered Shane van Gisbergen in the 2018 Bathurst 1000 (after the duo placed second in the Sandown 500).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/superstore.v8sleuth.com.au\/products\/2026-meguiars-bathurst-12-hour-official-program?utm_source=SRBuyButton&amp;utm_medium=website\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/2026-12-hour-program_1024x1024.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had really great times with them at IMSA in 2024, and I\u2019m excited to work with them again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know a lot of the JMR guys as well, and they\u2019re putting out fast cars with the Corvettes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHopes are high.
