{"id":412333,"date":"2026-01-14T12:53:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T12:53:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/412333\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T12:53:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T12:53:07","slug":"actor-kiefer-sutherland-arrested-over-alleged-assault-of-ride-share-driver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/412333\/","title":{"rendered":"Actor Kiefer Sutherland arrested over alleged assault of ride-share driver"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Actor Kiefer Sutherland has been arrested after allegedly assaulting and threatening a ride-share driver in Hollywood, police have said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said Sutherland &#8220;entered a ride-share vehicle, physically assaulted the driver (the victim), and made criminal threats&#8221; in an incident at 00:15 PST (08:15 GMT) on Monday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The victim was not injured in the incident, the LAPD added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Sutherland, 59, was released after paying a bond of $50,000 (\u00a337,000). He is due to appear in court on 2 February.
