SAN ANTONIO \u2013 UTSA Football\u2019s third consecutive bowl victory on Dec. 26 at the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl came in front of the largest television viewing audience in program history.<\/p>\n
A reported 3.1 million viewers tuned in on ESPN for the Roadrunners\u2019 most-recent bowl appearance, which was the largest audience in SERVPRO First Responder Bowl history. Peak viewership reached 4.8 million during that broadcast.<\/p>\n
UTSA viewership exceeded 3 million for the first time in program history and marked just the second Roadrunners\u2019 game with a viewership of more than 2 million all-time.<\/p>\n
The bowl audience was the second highest among American Conference teams in bowl games this year outside of the College Football Playoff.<\/p>\n
The total viewership for American Conference bowls, including the CFP game, was approximately 23 million viewers, which was almost a 100 percent increase from the previous season.<\/p>\n
