(ABC News: Luke Stephenson)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Detective Acting Inspector Wronski said there were no concerns for people to avoid the area, but reiterated advice to contact police if a member of the public found something resembling one of the devices.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Some of the devices that have been located have been detonated prior to police locating them and some have not yet detonated,&#8221;  she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;We do not want members of the public to pick them up, we do not want them to bring them to police stations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;We are not aware of anyone sustaining injuries from a detonation of one of these devices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;However, they are explosives and so for anyone who locates them, don&#8217;t touch the item and to call police immediately.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"A police officer and a sog walk through grass near a house.\" class=\"Image_image__5tFYM ContentImage_image__DQ_cq\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/c3d3c77e797edef412c6aa162f581c18.jpeg\" loading=\"lazy\" data-component=\"Image\" data-lazy=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_base__sj2RP FigureCaption_text__zDxQ5 Typography_sizeMobile12__w_FPC Typography_lineHeightMobile20___U7Vr Typography_regular__WeIG6 Typography_colourInherit__dfnUx\" data-component=\"Typography\">Sniffer dogs have been deployed to help with the search for explosive devices in Canberra. (ABC News: Luke Stephenson)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">She said it would be &#8220;inappropriate&#8221; to comment on why the devices were being left in public spaces, but said it was not being treated as an act of terrorism.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">No property has been damaged by the devices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Police said there was no indication the devices had been found in other parts of Canberra.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">They released images showing silver pipe-shaped objects lying on the ground outdoors.
