Jimmy Crute has suffered a significant injury, forcing him out of his scheduled bout at UFC 325, and possibly the entire year.<\/p>\n
Australia’s Crute (14-4-2 MMA, 6-4-2 UFC) was set to face Dustin Jacoby on home soil in Sydney, but will no longer compete due to a ruptured ACL. Crute announced the injury Wednesday on social media.<\/p>\n

“Good morning, everyone. I have some pretty disappointing news,” Crute said in an Instagram video<\/a>. “On Monday, I completely ruptured my ACL. I’m out of my fight Feb. 1 against Dustin. I’m extremely disappointed. I’m obviously very disappointed and gutted, but I think I can use this opportunity to grow with patience. In nine, 10 months, I’ll come back stronger. More in tune with my body, stronger legs. God is good, and there’s a reason for this, so, yeah. Little speed bump, but I’ll be back stronger.”<\/p>\n In 2025, Crute put together a 2-0-1 record, which included back-to-back first-round stoppages of Marcin Prachnio and Ivan Erslan. The latter earned a Performance of the Night bonus. Unfortunately, he will not be able to capitalize on the momentum he built until late 2026. Recovery for a ruptured ACL could take 9-12 months.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n It’s unclear at the time of writing if Jacoby (21-9-1 MMA, 9-6-1 UFC) will remain on the card against a replacement.<\/p>\n UFC 325 takes place Jan. 31 at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
