M\ufeffr. Big is taking a firm stance following a pointed comment made towards his ex-Sex and the City<\/a> co-star.<\/p>\n

Chris Noth, who \ufeffstarred alongside Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a> as her off-again, on-again love interest in the long-running show, was caught endorsing a fan’s profane comment towards the actress on a recent Instagram post.<\/a><\/p>\n

His pointed swipe at Parker kicked up a media storm, leading the star to release a statement in response.<\/a><\/p>\n

Noth had \ufeffpreviously shared a glimpse into how he’d chosen to ring in the new year \u2013 in the gym \u2013 captioning the dumbbell-heavy workout post “F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!”<\/p>\n

In an equally profanity-laden comment, one fan responded “You mean fcuk [Sarah Jessica Parker] & her award right? lol,”\ufeff alluding to Parker receiving an honorary Golden Globe<\/a> for contributions to film and Television days before.<\/p>\n

Replying directly to the fan’s profane jab at the Golden Globes honouree, Noth simply\ufeff replied “right.”<\/p>\n

This ignited a media firestorm, with many fans and outlets soon catching wind of the shady comment.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Amid the fallout, Noth released a blunt response via Instagram<\/a>, saying the comment was “not news,” and was “not \ufeffworth all this discussion.”<\/p>\n

In lieu \ufeffof an apology or retraction, Noth sought to clear up the intentions behind the seemingly scathing comment, claiming it had been meant in jest.<\/p>\n

“My off the cuff, slightly sarcastic comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot,” he said in his statement.<\/p>\n

“It is a waste of time in a world where there are more important things to worry about.”\ufeff<\/p>\n

Noth has since removed any trace of the original comment \u2013 and his controversial response \u2013\ufeff from his social media.<\/p>\n

This burgeoning feud could prove the biggest Sex and the City cast dispute since long-running tensions between Kim Cattrall<\/a> and Parker first came to light.<\/p>\n

It reportedly began after multiple claims of sexual assault emerged against the actor in 2021.<\/p>\n

Noth’s fan-favourite character was controversially written out of the Sex and the City spin-off show, And Just Like That,<\/a> as a result of these allegations.<\/p>\n

Mr. Big was originally set to make a grand return in a finale fantasy sequence\ufeff in which Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw scattered his ashes \u2013 but this was not to be.<\/p>\n

Parker and fellow leading ladies Cynthia Nixon<\/a> and Kristin Davis<\/a> released a statement in support of the victims soon after.<\/p>\n

“We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth,” the actresses wrote in the joint statement shared to social media at the time.<\/p>\n

“We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”\ufeff<\/p>\n

Noth vehemently denied any wrongdoing at the time, claiming any encounters he’d had with the women in question were consensual.\ufeff<\/p>\n

“The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false,” he said.<\/p>\n

“These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago \u2013 no always means no \u2013 that is a line I did not cross.”<\/p>\n

Noth has since removed any trace of the original comment \u2013 and his controversial response \u2013\ufeff from his social media.<\/p>\n
