Tottenham have appointed Carlos Raphael Moersen as their first director of football operations, taking him from City Football Group, which oversees a stable of clubs that includes Manchester City.<\/p>\n
Moersen, known as Rafi, will not join until before the summer transfer window because he is on gardening leave. He has spent more than a decade at CFG, serving most recently as director of football transactions.<\/p>\n
Tottenham said Moersen would lead the club\u2019s football administration, player care and training-ground operations, and that a major part of his job would involve overseeing the women\u2019s setup.<\/p>\n
