Pictures<\/p>\n<p>Warner Bros. Pictures has premiered a second trailer for Maggie Gyllenhaal\u2019s new directorial effort, \u201cThe Bride\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In the film, a lonely Frankenstein\u2019s monster (Christian Bale) travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (Annette Bening) to create a companion for him.<\/p>\n<p>The two revive a murdered young woman, and The Bride (Jessie Buckley) is born. What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A wild and radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance.<\/p>\n<p>Penelope Cruz, Jake Gyllenhaal and Peter Skarsgaard also star in the film, which is a major reimagining of James Whale\u2019s iconic 1935 classic \u201cBride of Frankenstein\u201d \u2013 this one with more of a punk rock Bonnie and Clyde-style vibe.<\/p>\n<p>Maggie Gyllenhaal directs from her own screenplay and produces alongside Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Talia Kleinhendler and Osnat Handelsman Keren.
