Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko could be set to return to the Emirates after an underwhelming loan spell with Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n
The Ukrainian international moved to the City Ground this summer but may have his season-long loan deal cut short this month.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve spoken to the player, made him clear on his situation,\u201d revealed Forest boss Sean Dyche. \u201cHe\u2019s aware of that so we\u2019ll see what happens.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 29-year-old has struggled to nail down a starting spot in his new side. He has made just 10 appearances since his summer switch, and was recently removed from Forest\u2019s Europa League squad.<\/p>\n
Dyche continued: \u201cAs I said, we\u2019ll see what happens but we\u2019re very open with him.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s a thorough professional \u2013 he has been and I\u2019m sure he will be going forwards no matter what.\u201d<\/p>\n
Zinchenko has not been helped by the tumultuous nature of his time with Forest. Since he joined on deadline day at the start of September, he has already played under three different managers at the City Ground.<\/p>\n
His current boss explained: \u201cNo, we just spoke to him about the obvious parameters and the guidelines of what\u2019s happening.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s played a couple of games, hasn\u2019t featured in others. He\u2019s been injured. That hasn\u2019t been helpful to him or to us.\u201d<\/p>\n
Zinchenko was substituted at half-time as Forest were knocked out of the FA Cup on penalties by Championship side Wrexham last Friday. The Ukrainian will be ineligible to feature against his parent club this weekend, as Arsenal are welcomed to the City Ground.<\/p>\n
Dyche maintained: \u201cI\u2019ve just been open with him, really. It\u2019s like I say, I\u2019m open with all players.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I think when you\u2019ve done as much as he has in the game, it\u2019s more of a conversation. Not demanding anything other than just telling him the truth, as I see it.<\/p>\n
