British tennis star Katie Boulter<\/a> has revealed her wedding plans \u2013 or lack thereof \u2013 ahead of her special day with Australia’s Alex de Minaur.<\/a><\/p>\n

Speaking to media in her Australian Open<\/a>pre-tournament press conference, Boulter confessed the couple<\/a> were using a planner to help organise their day.<\/p>\n

The couple may be tennis powerhouses, but apparently, planning a wedding is not their strong suit.<\/p>\n

\ufeff”We’ve done absolutely nothing in about a year and two months,” she told the media during a pre-tournament press conference.<\/p>\n

“We’ve got a date, we’ve got a venue, then hopefully the rest will take care of itself\ufeff.”<\/p>\n

The athlete confessed she would like to help with planning, but the couple don’t have “any time” to do it.<\/p>\n

A wedding planner is taking the reins \ufefffor the couple, Boulter added.<\/p>\n

“I wouldn’t say we’re the most organised… we’re kind of going with the flow, we’ll turn up and say I do,” she said.<\/p>\n

“Of course I want to be someone who is in that process as well, because I do thin\ufeffk it’s something that will only happen once in my life.<\/p>\n

“I would love to plan it, I just don’t have time, I really don’t.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The tennis star also added that it’s hard to get a decision out of her.<\/p>\n

“Even just getting a decision out of us is pretty tough to do, because I am awful at trying to sort things out… but I know it’s going to be perfect, no matter what happens on the day.”<\/p>\n

The pair got engaged \ufeffin December 2024.<\/p>\n

The Aussie \ufeffworld No.9 and Boulter shared the news with fans in a joint post on Instagram, writing, “We’ve been keeping a small secret”.<\/p>\n

The photo showed off the British women’s singles No.1 wearing her new engagement ring.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old Aussie sensation met the British tennis prodigy through the sport. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Boulter knew of De Minaur through mutual friends and had heard he was a “good, humble” guy, so when she bumped into him by chance one day she decided to say hello.<\/p>\n

“One day, when we were staying in the same hotel, we bumped into each other at six in the morning and ended up getting a coffee,” she told The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a> in a 2024 interview<\/p>\n

“From that moment, I knew I was in it for the long haul.”<\/p>\n

De Minaur was taken by her “smiling, happy” attitude and the pair started dating right as the COVID-19 pandemic started.<\/p>\n

Their relationship went public in March 2021 to celebrate their one-year anniversary.<\/p>\n
