{"id":41841,"date":"2025-08-04T02:57:07","date_gmt":"2025-08-04T02:57:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/41841\/"},"modified":"2025-08-04T02:57:07","modified_gmt":"2025-08-04T02:57:07","slug":"man-and-woman-found-dead-in-house-at-bordertown-south-australia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/41841\/","title":{"rendered":"Man and woman found dead in house at Bordertown, South Australia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Police are investigating the deaths of a couple at a home in Bordertown, in South Australia&#8217;s south-east.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">SA Police say officers found a 47-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman dead during a welfare check at a house in the town about 11pm on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">They said the pair were in a domestic relationship.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Limestone Coast detectives, SA Police&#8217;s Forensic Response Section and the Major Crime Investigation Branch all attended the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">In a statement, SA Police said: &#8220;The investigation is in its early stages, but police are not seeking any suspects in relation to this matter.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Police will now prepare a report for the state coroner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Anyone with information that may assist in the investigation is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at crimestopperssa.com.au.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">About 3,000 people live in Bordertown, which lies on the Dukes Highway, about 16 kilometres west of the Victorian border.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">In 2023, <a class=\"Link_link__kR0xA Link_link__5eL5m ScreenReaderOnly_srLinkHint__OysWz Link_showVisited__C1Fea Link_showFocus__ALyv2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2025-07-15\/jaydn-stimson-sentenced-for-shooting-police-officer-jason-doig\/105530072\" data-component=\"Link\" data-uri=\"coremedia:\/\/article\/105530072\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">police officer Jason Doig was shot and killed<\/a> on a property near the town.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Police are investigating the deaths of a couple at a home in Bordertown, in South Australia&#8217;s south-east.
